After surgery comfortable. Awesome
Megan H.
The lick sleeve worked great at keeping my dog from licking the tumor on his leg. It kept him a lot more comfortable and stopped his tumor from bleeding as much during his last days.
Dani C.
We bought this one as a back up as our dog had ptlo surgery & was sent home post-op with lick sleeve. Such a great protective device ! She has not tried to lick her wound which saves us all from having to use the “head cone”! Easy to put on & appears quite comfortable too! Definitely recommend!
Chanda N.
These lick sleeves have been working great for post-operative wounds as well as hunting dog lacerations on the forelimbs / chest area. It' would be really neat if they came up with an actual forelimb option that served as a chest/forelimb protector for hunting dogs! The material is light and breathable and the dogs don't seem to mind it.
MICHAEL W.
Much better than the dreaded collar and does the job. Would love to five stars, but it still needs some work for male dogs. With my boxer, it kept getting moved around his twanger and caused some irritation. Still, a vast improvement over previous methods. Keep working on the design.
Debbie N.
It is great to help stopping our dog from licking his incision, my only complaint is that it slides off.
DONNA O.
This worked great for us! My boy didn't even need to use the cone (so far on day 5 PO). It washes well and stays on for the most part. Much better than the other one that I bought. It's a little pricey, but worth it for us.
Gina Y.
As you can see Roo is wearing the Lick sleeve up front. She's gotten in the habit at 11 years old to lick her inner arm to the point of a wound that became challenging to heal due to her taking /eating the vet wrap that I wrapped it with! Typical ACD❣️ anyway, moving on to no bandage and an E collar bc we were lucky enough she passed the bandages she ate! Well, other issues occurred with that, mainly the doggy door lol. Searched around and found the answer or solution i was looking for, you guys! The Lick Sleeve is a great idea, strong, well made, she tugs at the end here and there and licks the sleeve at times but the wound is almost all healed and it's still protecting her skin! Awesome job guys thanks again! Definitely recommended for multiple situations ❣️
Jaime K.
Bought a different one to begin with from a different company. It was a big no. So glad we invested in this one. Great quality, super comfy, fits properly with no gapping. Incision fully covered.
kerryanne m.
Works great! Easy on, easy off.
Gary L.
I love the fact that my girl doesn’t have to wear a cone.
Kimberly
Our 171 pound Great Dane just had TPLO surgery a week ago and the lick sleeve has made such a big difference.. he won’t wear the biggest cone but doesn’t mind the sleeve . Would definitely recommend.
Scott S.
The only positive is the material. Compared to others I had to buy that are a thicker neoprene, it's lighter and a little more breathable.
Issue is when he pees. He may not pee on it when I have it unwrapped and using it as a support handle, but when he's done and I rewrap, it's near impossible to not get pee on it. I even resorted to carrying a tissue and patting him dry. Still, there's a little dribble on it.
Very disappointed for the cost. I was thrilled there is finally an answer to the cone, but this still has some major flaws.
Joann F.
Making all the difference in Pips recovery. We use it during the day & cone at night per vets recommendation. Licksleeve has made our days stress free.
Mark H.
Great products and customer service!
Laura L.
My little guy has been just fine having this sleeve on him. No problem at all!
The only issue I have with it is for boy dogs it is hard to move it where they don't pee pee on it. It's in the wash right now because it smells!
Thanks for coming up with this though. It has helped a lot!
Annette
Worked out perfect and our dog tolerated it well.
patty m.
This lick sleeve is our 2nd one. And we love it . We were so bummed that we couldn’t fine our 1st one and when my grandpup had a TPLO done we knew we needed to order another one. The best breathable sleeve for a dog and save them from the Cone of Dread! Thank you lick sleeve for making such a wonderful product.
Scott S.
What's to say? You essentially made me pay an insurance premium in case I didn't like it.
Rob L.
Shipping time is way to long
Maybe if it was sold on Amazon and available the next day but you cannot wait five days as we had to
Or if it was available directly from the vet or a local pet store
David S.
My only issue is the cost. it fit and works well on our dog
Angela J.
Our boxer had a TPLO we used this amazing invention post op! First thing we did was put it on when we got home. She didn’t mind it at all, the fabric is soft and fit is comfy. She didn’t require a cone because the sleeve keeps the incision hidden, such a relief! I also felt it kept the incision clean & provided the perfect barrier for icing the leg. Highly recommend!
Leslie S.
It’s effective. At first it kept slipping off. Then I used a safety pin to tighten up the back part. Maybe if there was a Velcro strip it would be a better product. Overall I’m happy I bought it.
Stephanie B.
Highly recommend! It has made the healing process much more tolerable!
Sheilla B.
Works great easy to adjust
Carolyn W.
The Lick Sleeve is absolutely amazing replacement for the E-collar. My dog would have never handled the collar. With the sleeve he doesn’t realize it is there preventing him from his incision.
The company itself is also amazing. My veterinarian had put too small of a sleeve on my dog so in calling the company I was able to purchase an xtra large size, cheaper than what the veterinarian had charged me and I received it in 2 days.
Fabulous invention, great company.
Well worth the money.
Calling the Lick Sleeve company was the best thing I have could have done.
Libda K.
We love this product. A bit expensive and could use more thigh coverage, but overall a great idea and better for the dog then cone.
Jeanmarie B.
Response is very quick!! They are on top getting what I need pronto!! Great company and staff to work with!
Victoria A.
Just home from having CCL repair surgery. The Lick Sleeve is used in place of a hard plastic cone / e-collar. So happy my pup can recover comfortably, all thanks to her new Lick Sleeve post-op. Vet Techs put it on her before leaving the surgical facility.
Laura L.
The medium fits my little guy perfectly!
The only thing is the penis. haha. I just moved it a little further back so he could go without me moving it every time. No problem there either!
He doesn't love it & def doesn't want it on his leg, but it's a great alternative to the cone for sure.
Thank you for making this product!
Sheryl
My golden retriever has allergies and licks his legs excessively to the point of creating hotspots. We tried sprays, wrapping and allergy shots but nothing worked. Out of desperation I started looking for some kind of sleeve. I saw lots of cheaper versions but the Lick Sleeve had far better reviews and looked like it would be more comfortable. It turned out to be one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. My golden doesn’t mind it at all and when he starts licking a spot on one of his legs we just slip it on and he can no longer get to it. He’s a farm dog and has worn it outside and gotten it dirty but it easily machine washes and line dries. We know from experience that it works great on both front snd rear legs. This is actually our 2nd Lick Sleeve, we wanted to have a spare while the other one is drying.
Delilah A.
I think the LickSleeve is a great idea if only my dog wasn’t a chewer. He is part Lab so I still have to leave the cone on when I am not around as he is constantly trying to get the LickSleeve off. He is a crafty one for sure.
Thanks for a great product.

Sleeve is really cool idea , still think it needs a few tweaks with design and staying securely on your pet. My doberman is smart and can take it off even with a cone on . Also would be cool if you didn't have to take it off everytime your pet has to go potty and when on the right leg thre is no twist factor for making the latch /snap in and it is harder to adjust simce it is upside down . As for breathable and comfort to dog it is awesome .
Pat S.
she gets out of it very easily. Concept is good but needs more work
Jen P.
The Lick sleeve has made my dogs recovery from his TPLO surgery a breeze. It's so easy to put on and remove. The sleeve is soft and he is resting so well while recovering. I have a soft Zen cone that I use when I have to launder the sleeve. It works great, but the sleeve is a thousand times better. Do yourself a favor and get this sleeve if you dog is having surgery. The shipping was so fast as I ordered it 2 days before his procedure and it arrived just in time!
Pat S.
A great idea, but found the strap kept slipping off her butt. this allowed her to 'remove' her stitches. (she did a good job!!) Not sure how to fix the sleeve, but somehow the strap(s) need to be changed.
Cheryl and Dave S.
The lick sleeve helped to lessen our angst around keeping our baby safe. The cone feels so awkward and clunky for them and the sleeve protects the area of the incision. We still use the cone when he's sleeping but having the lick sleeve during the day gives us freedom to leave him for a few minutes without stressing over whether he's licking or pulling out the stitches. After the first time, it's easy to get on and it fits securely without being too restrictive. I highly recommend based on our experience using it for a right knee TPLO surgery! And it's resersible so can use for either leg!
Michelle D.
Best purchase ever! Our Lab is recovering from TPLO surgery and the lick sleeve has helped her to stay comfortable.
Breanna A.
We had originally sized our husky as a large, but it was way too big. We had to order a medium, and it fit her leg, but it did not fit around her waist area. we had to use a tie to keep it on her.
all in all this does work! She does not lick her wound. The sizing was just a little off She is just between a small and medium.
Large and Medium are pictured.
Jen R.
The lick sleeve is wonderful! My 100 lb Great Pyranees mix just a Tplo 3 days ago and the sleeve has made potty breaks and his comfort so much easier. It's so easy to take one and off and is easy to wash. I had a soft cone for him that worked, but this is so much better and I feel like he'll recover more quickly. Thank you for such a great product!
Janet C.
This has been a sleep saver for us! My only regret is that we didn’t get it sooner.
Tamara C.
This product is a lifesaver in helping your dog and family get through surgery recovery. Great product, highly recommend. Very good Customer Service also.

Quite simply the Lick Sleeve has been a true Blessing!
Lilly, our Mini LabraDoodle, recently had TPLO surgery(left hind leg.
She has Not been able to lick the site...and that makes her recovery a lot simpler. She has been a Trooper through out the last two weeks. Only 'problem' is- she thinks she's already cured.
Much work remains to be done over the predicted 4-8 of additional recovery/rehabbut your wondeful products is making things much earier. She has her staples removed this coming Thursday and we will learn then how much longer the sleeve will be used.
But- We will definitely keep it for any future use!
Thank you for offering this Great Product.

After having my girl get through two cones (a soft and a rigid worn at the same time!) to eat through her staples I’m thrilled that this has finally been something that works that is way more comfortable for her.
Kathy H.
The size was fine. It covers the sore on her thigh. However, it doesn't really help inasmuch as she simply licks the outside of the bandage making it wet, rubbing against the sore and causing the sore to bleed. It doesn't seem to be helping the healing process.
Robert H.
Our dog has no issues with it and it is so much easier to use rather than the cone!
Nancy P.
Unfortunately, I think I ordered the wrong size as it keeps falling off my dog. I’ve ordered a smaller size, but it has yet to arrive (over a week). Even with the wrong size, it has served its purpose. My dog is much happier in it. During the day, I only use that (I can supervise in her crate) but at night unfortunately I have to put her back in soft cone. I would recommend-just take accurate measurements.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Lick Sleeve apart from it totally works. It works amazingly well.
Our pup, Cash, tore the cranial cruciate ligament in his left knee so the front part of the shin bone was moved forward to change the forces in the knee which is now held in place with a bone plate. We were told to have him wear the traditional "Cone of Shame" 24/7 to keep him from licking the incision site. He, and therefore we, were struggling mightily to follow that directive. Fortunately, my son's dog had the same surgery last year and my son and his wife recommended that we try the Lick Sleeve. Here is the fashionable Cash sporting his new accessory like the rockstar he is!
Lick Sleeve works.
Jacob F.
Lick sleeve works great! Material soft and slightly stretchy and comfortable for Nessa. Way, way better than e-collar. Well worth the small cost to have your dog more comfortable after surgery.
Cindy B.
My dog had knee surgery on her left hind leg. I ordered two sizes since I wasn't sure which would fit (my dog was on the cusp of weight). I also paid for the return shipping since I knew one was going back. She's an 80lb Bernese Mountain dog, and I kept the Large as that fit just fine. It's stretchy enough to get over those big paws but doesn't squeeze the leg with any pressure. Seems to be very comfortable, as she doesn't seem bothered by it. It stays in place, which certainly wasn't the case for another product I had ordered elsewhere, and she could move the leg freely. She just had her incision checked, and it has healed quite nicely. Funny enough, there was another dog at the vet who had had the same surgery and was also wearing one of these sleeves! Another person in there asked me about it as she wanted to get one for her dog.
Overall, I am very pleased with the product. It's done what I needed. My only issue with it is the cost, which seems a bit high.
Eddye P.
Saved our sanity!!!! My dog was having extreme anxiety from the cone around her neck. She was able to pull everything off. Lick Sleeve saved the day and helped healing to progress smoothly. Thank you for Lick Sleeve!!!
Jane U.
My dog had a TPLO in July and recovery was rough. He just got his metal plate out due to it bothering him. The lick sleeve has been our saving grace this go-around for nighttime. My dog gets so freaked out in the cone, especially at night. He (and I) are finally able to get some sleep!! Oh how I wish I had invested in the lick sleeve for the original surgery. I still put him in the cone as well as lick sleeve during the day whenever unsupervised, but otherwise he’s just wearing the sleeve. It’s such a relief to know there is an extra layer of protection on the incision.
Brad B.
Love the LICK Sleeve. Ordered a second one but it took 2 weeks to get it and it was the wrong size. Ordered a large and received a XS. So now have to send back for a credit.
Travis H.
Our Murphy girl had TPLO surgery on her leg hind leg. We wanted an option other than the E-collar to keep her from licking and chewing on her incision and we found it in the Licksleeve. I have to say that I was very skeptical that it would keep her from messing with her incision but somehow it has. She has completely accepted wearing it from minute one. Murph says thank you for not forcing her to wear the E-collar for 2+ weeks. Murphy can be seen sporting a large without any alterations.
Peggy K.
We used this on our greyhound, who was insistent n licking a small wound on his hind leg. This was the perfect solution to stop him from getting access to the wound and allowing it to heal quickly.
Nicole W.
Best purchase we bought after our dog had TPLO surgery! Fits her perfectly and not wearing a bulky cone makes her so much happier and less stressed.
Christie E.
I couldn’t be happier with this product to minimize the use of a cone post TPLO surgery!
John S.
seems to work well to promote healing by providing support like a bandage and also covering incision so pet can't lick
John H.
She has not tried to lick the wound area, but it's excellent piece of mind knowing it's on there just in case.
Jack A.
It has only been 6 days post-surgery, but I can't imagine how much more difficult our dog's recovery would have been if he had to wear a cone all the time. The Lick Sleeve is easy to put on (we did have to cut an inch off the ankle to fit our Maltese) and take off. It was a worthwhile purchase!
Maria G.
This is an awesome product. I am so thankful that my dog is almost healed and we aren’t having to deal with the cone tearing up the house. This has prevented her from chewing her leg. Much appreciated!!
Amber B.
I 100% recommend lick sleeve! Our dog had TPLO surgery, initially we were just given a cone, we created a similar sleeve out of an old sweatshirt. Sadly we suffered through a pretty serious infection that resulted in the incision needing to be re closed. The second surgeon recommended lick sleeve. I love the way it fits as it goes all the way up the leg leaving no way for her to get to the wound. We ordered a large for our slightly overweight 85 pound shepherd. She was between sizes, and We went with the smaller size as recommended. This ensured the best covering of the wound. It fits just like i hoped. Fabric is soft and stretchy. The seem runs down the back of the sleeve so its off the wound.
24 inches at the shoulder, 29 waist, 25 at the hip.
TRICIA A.
What an amazing product! The lick sleeve allowed our dog’s incision to stay dry, clean and heal nicely. Highly recommend!!
Brian M.
Love the sleeve, I think we got one a little too big though. Should have gone an L vs. XL.
Nicole F.
Works perfectly!
Phoebe G.
Much preferable to the cone.
Tolerated well.
She is able to get the sleeve off, so I have to watch her.
Valerie J.
I need another so I can have one in the wash - they are so expensive - are there any sales?
Jolyn H.
This was a life saver after my German Shepherd’s TPLO surgery. She was not a fan of the cone and this made it so she didn’t have to wear it. We had it overnighted after her surgery and it was well worth the price and the price of the overnight shipping. It was so easy to put on and she isn’t bothered by it at all.
Pam H.
I really love this product. The only issue is, I have a male dog and it is his back leg. When he wears it, it covers up his penis so he can not wear it when he goes outside to go to the bathroom.
Other than that, a great product!

I like that it's reversible, washable, and adjustable. However, it's only adjustable to a point because we tightened it as much as it could and then it couldn't anymore because of the tag. I don't think we should have gotten a smaller size because the leg length would be too small.
Ryan D.
It fits well on my greyhound. It doesn't bother him much and he's given up on trying to lick his leg. It's much better than a cone!
Dom C.
We are extremely happy with the lick sleeve. Our golden had TPLO surgery and returned home with a large shade collar around his neck to prevent him from licking the surgical area. Didn’t seem to bother him however found he was getting caught on furniture, kitchen cabinet knobs and anything else we walked pass to take him outside for his business. Also found his neck / collar fur getting very matted from saliva traveling down the shade after drinking and eating. Hence the search for a better way to deal with the need to prevent him from licking his wound. Presto: the licksleeve saved the day. No more issues. Easy to put on and take off and causes no discomfort nor issues whatsoever. Perfect comfortable solution that totally prevents any licking. Service and support from Henry at Licksleve is 5 star in making sure we had the right fit. Highly recommended.
Pierre A.
Love this product!
Dianne M.
Easy to use & comfortable for our dog.
I ordered the wrong size and returning it was easy. The replacement came quickly.
I’d definitely recommend your product. The sleeve is great & your response was speedy.
Jim M.
Excellent product that works well during recovery. We use them for patients at our Vet Clinic all the time!
David A.
This is a great product, and is very helpful especially to dogs terrified of cones!
Lanore S.
It came off 2 times in 3 weeks. With my heeler I expected 1x per day. She dod lick on it 2x but we dried it and put it back on ASAP.
Incision looks great when I checked it.
This did it's job! My baby is on her way to being able to run around again.
I would gladly share this product info with friends in need of a way to keep their dogs incisio ln dry and safe from damage.
Gayle M.
It was so helpful after Bradley's TPLO surgery. He was sent home wearing one and I bought another to put on a clean one at the end of the day. He wanted to lick the incision at first but I covered the lick sleeve with a small towel and he lost interest. He has been comfortable without wearing a cone or inflatable donut and his incision almost completely closed. Because I don't want to take a chance on him irritating it, I will continue to keep him in a clean lock sleeve daily until I am certain he won't be interested in licking or at his one month check. It's easy to wash either by hand or in the machine, dry by the next evening and ready to use.
Him T.
Easy to use. He lives it.
David G.
Chancr loves wearing the Lick Sleeve! We call it his pants and he proudly struts around, tail wagging when we put it on him. For 2 weeks he's been wearing it except to go out and do his business. If we don't put it on he kind if pouts..but if we say want to wear your pants? Tail starts wagging.
Denise Z.
This is a great product - so much more comfortable for my dog than a cone after her knee surgery. Also, I am VERY impressed with the service. I first ordered a medium - which arrived on Monday after I ordered it on Friday - and then had to exchange it for a large. That exchange arrived the very next day. That is just SO impressive and helpful!
Lanore S.
Worked perfectly.
Vicci T.
I have an xl American bully and work for a surgeon for animal specialty and love the lick sleeve for my boy after a TPLO. He doesn’t bother with it, his incision stays clear of licking and dirt. Also when using a cold or warm compress it protects his skin. Easy to take off, clean, dry, and put it back on his leg. Less stress for him! Love it! I recommend it to all our patients in need.
Cynthia S.
We are two days post-TPLO surgery on our 3 yo Shepherd mix. The Lick Sleeve has been a life saver as our Bailey-pup would not have done well with a cone. We took it with us to her surgery appointment and asked them to put it on her after surgery. It protects her incision so well and also keeps her shaved leg warm. I can’t wait to tell the vet how well this works. The tech wrote down the name of this product to tell their patients about as she thought it could work very well.
Lori H.
My petite Lab always falls in between sizes. The size charts always have me order a large for her and when it arrives it’s always too large. This time was no exception. However, I have been able to modify the sleeve to stay on by roller my the leg (as suggested) and tightening the belt. It is doing the job! Stays on and it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. So much better than a cone.
Daniel O.
Easy to place on the affected area, great protection and above all comfort four our girl during the recovery time.
Robert H.
Lick sleeve is the perfect cover after surgery. Without the cone my pup can rest comfortably as she heals. The people working at Lick Sleeve were so helpful in chosing the size and the after surgery care instructions they provided were very helpful. The fabric is stretchy and strong, like your favorite pair of sweatpants. Much higher quality than anything you can find online. I have already recommended Lick Sleeve to all my friends in case they ever need it.
mark M.
My dog is getting used to it. Actually likes it. And really isn’t licking it. That’s a good thing.
Laura J.
I wish I’d known about this months ago. Our 5 year old 95 lb female GSD had TPLO surgery in June. She did fine after surgery but in September she started licking the healed incision & caused an acral lick granuloma. Now after going back into the e collar & several different medicines & treatments, I found the Lick Sleeve online. She doesn’t LOVE it but she doesn’t try to get out of it. She’s an inside dog so I’m able to keep my eyes on her most of the time. She has not attempted to lick or try to get to her leg. I’m not sure how long she’ll have to wear the sleeve but I am so happy with the progress she’s already made. The e collar caused her such terrible anxiety so none of us were happy while she had to wear it. I wish all veterinary orthopedic surgeons knew about the lick sleeve. It’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent. It’s a GREAT invention.
Chuck H.
The first time we went out side to go potty, he peed down the side of the sleeve. It was our fault , After that, everything is great !
Mark M.
Very easy to put on. And movement is great. Coco usually hates things on. When we take it off to go to do her business she is looking to put it back on. lol. So it’s only been 3 days as the shipment didn’t come in 2 days as promised. But so far so good.
rebecca p.
So glad to have discovered this great product! God created Golden Retrievers to teach Veternarians how to treat hotspots!! Bailey has had some massive ones over her nine years, Now I have another fantastic tool in my box to help heal them!
the choice of material is fabulous... It makes sense to have several to keep one clean while wearing the other... A bit pricey, perhaps a quantity discount? Otherwise, such a winner!
